Paul Elected To IEB

Brothers and Sisters,

I want to thank the Wisconsin delegation for their faith and support. It means the world to me that my brothers and sisters from the birthplace of AFSCME stood with me and allowed me to continue in my role as their voice in Washington.

I cannot say enough positive things about the Nebraska delegation and their willingness to both share their stories with me and embrace my efforts to carry a unique voice to the IEB. I have tried hard to be both transparent and accountable to the people I serve in Wisconsin and intend to do the same for the entire Midwestern region.

It is my hope that the members from AFSCME Council 61 will give me the same opportunity to prove that their problems are my problems. Every single voice in AFSCME deserves to be heard and I take my oath of office seriously.

Finally, I want to thank my friends and supporters from my time in the Next Wave movement and my time on the Executive Board. Each of you have been important to my development and education as a trade unionist and I love you all.

Solidarity!
